Paving Foreman
As a Paving Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing paving operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and leading a dedicated crew. You will report to the Superintendent while managing daily activities on-site, fostering a productive working environment.
Key Responsibilties

Coordinate tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring timely delivery.

Manage the activities and performance of crew members and subcontractors.

Inspect work to guarantee adherence to specifications and industry standards.

Monitor and track quantities and production levels throughout the project.

Maintain a professional and productive relationship with clients.

Conduct regular safety talks, ensuring all safety practices are adhered to
Qualifications
-
Previous experience in a foreman role or mechanical knowledge is a definite asset.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in asphalt operations.

Extensive knowledge of all paving equipment and paving processes

Proven leadership abilities with significant experience.

Proficient with MS Office applications, including MS Teams and Outlook; capability to learn and utilize specialized software.

Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

Travel may be necessary based on project needs.
Position Requirements

Willing, when necessary, to work away from home at domestic (Ontario) jobs-sites for extended periods of time during paving season. (mid May to mid October)

Willing to travel to China to for training for up to 2 months during summer, fall 2024. Business Class travel, accommodations and security provided.
