Senior Heavy Duty Mechanic
As Chief Mechanic you will be responsible for managing all aspects of repairs and maintenance of the JP6000 and related support equipment. The work will be done in the field during the paving season (May to Sept) and in shop for the balance of the year.
Key Responsibilties

Develops and manages repairs and maintenance programs.

Performs field maintenance and repairs.

Procures and manages parts inventories.

Maintains service logs and records of work completed.

Travels to domestic and international locations.
Qualifications
-
Thorough knowledge of power, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Strong leadership skills and computer proficiency.

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Proficient in the interpretation of Technical Drawings, Schematics and Manuals.

Extensive training and work experience that would support this role.

Proficient with MS Office applications, including MS Teams and Outlook; capability to learn and utilize specialized software.

Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

Travel may be necessary based on project needs.
Position Requirements

Willing, when necessary, to work away from home at domestic (Ontario) jobs-sites for extended periods of time during paving season. (mid May to mid October)

Willing to travel to China to for training for up to 2 months during summer, fall 2024. Business Class travel, accommodations and security provided.
